Exhibition – ‘Strands’

Time Shift Installation

A starting point of ‘strands’ was the strong geometry of the coastal landscape, the uncomprimising veticality of the cliffs and the horizontal plane of the sea surface. the stratification of the rock gives emphasis to the geometry and is an important link.  The porcelain elements in the time shift Installation comes from this geometry.  I wanted also to express the the nuances of change and the many cycles that drive, from tide to biological diversity and from geological movement to the crashing storm driven waves.  Each system with its own scale of magnitude and time.
